Phebe Hong is Santa Rosa City Schools high school student of the month for December.

Hong, a senior at Santa Rosa High School, has been a member of ArtQuest Drama since her freshman year, and has served as secretary of the school Math Club since her first year on campus, as well.

Hong, an outstanding student who is a member of the National Honor Society and the California Scholastic Federation, has received the National Merit Commended student honor.

Since her freshman year, Hong has been a member of the Panthers’ varsity debate team and with her partner has gone to the state finals. Last summer she attended the Stanford University debate camp and came away with the “Strongest Speaker” award.

Hong has interned for Rep. Lynn Woolsey, D-Petaluma and attended the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C.
