Santa Rosa Junior College will host a day-long conference entitled “How Green Jobs Can Rebuild California” on March 1 in the Bertolini Student Center on the Santa Rosa campus.

Speakers include Rep. Mike Thompson, D-St. Helena, SRJC President Frank Chong, Sonoma County Supervisor Mike McGuire, as well as representatives from the California High Speed Rail Authority, Union Bank of Switzerland, Sonoma County Job Link, Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART), PG&E, and the Sonoma County Water Agency.

Topics include green job training and support, strategic planning for green industries and implementation, challenges facing the California and U.S. economies and northern California green job creators.

The conference begins at 9 a.m.

The event is free to SRJC students, faculty and staff and lunch is available for purchase for $20.  Admission for the general public is $20 and lunch in included..
