Steele Lane Elementary School sixth grader Xochitl Camarena Palomera is Santa Rosa City Schools’ student of the month for February.
Palomera has attended Steele Lane since the fourth grade and in that time has shown herself to be an all-around fantastic student, according to school officials.
She is a leader on campus, popular and well-respected, according to school officials. Peers respect her point of view and look to her for guidance, they said.
Jessica Romero, Paolomera’s fifth grade teacher, called Palomera’s work ethic “inspiring.”
